Have you ever wanted to ask a trans person about their experiences, but worried about saying something "wrong"? Do you get all your information about gay people from other straight people? Do you think we're all child predators trying to destroy society? Are you unaware that about 40% of homeless children are LGBTQ+, and that a majority of them are homeless because their families rejected them?
Join us in the downstairs gallery room at the Stevenson Community Library on Sunday, June 30th to hear from our panel of community members. We will start with prepared questions, sharing our personal experiences as well as research data, and then take written questions from audience members. You can even ask your question anonymously if it helps.
The event starts at 2 pm and goes until 4 pm or we run out of questions, whichever comes sooner. One or more panelists may be willing to engage in respectful direct conversations afterward. This is a discussion and learning experience, not a debate. We would appreciate genuine, non-leading questions, and hope to keep the mood casual and friendly.
